The following are some of the events we have hosted within the past year:

SCDI Conference and Juneteenth Celebration

Join us at our annual SCDI Conference June 3-5th and Community Juneteenth Celebrations all month long. The conference begins with a "Lunch and Learn" about race in Alaska moderated by Retired Superior Court Judge Larry Card. On June 4th at the Sears Mall, join SCDI and our community partners for free workshops, forums, STEM projects, car and bike show, minority-owned business fair, health screenings, free hot dogs and hamburgers and more. Most events are free and will be held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (855 E. 20th Ave) and the Mall at Sears (600 E. Northern Lights Blvd). Please call 907.770.9835 if you have questions or click here to register a booth or to host a Juneteenth event.

Martin Luther King, Jr Celebration 2015

The 2015 Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Community-wide Commemoration is once again upon us and we invite you to join in the celebration. In order for this effort to be successful we need your support. Sponsorships and advertising opportunities are available in our commemorative booklet. Feeding Our Neighbors - Food Drive

Food Drive 2014 We are excited to present a community food drive sponsored by "Better Together", an Interfaith Group, being held at Shiloh Missionary Baptitst Church. On September 13, 2014 local businesses, non-profit organizations and over 35 church congregations will participate in collecting non-perishable food items.

Donations can be made at 855 E. 20th Ave (Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church) up until September 13th. There will be a BBQ from 12n - 2pm so please come out and support the drive. All donations will go to the Food Bank of Alaska. Click here for more information.

Candidate Forum

Candidate Forum 2014 SCDI will be sponsoring a candidates forum on September 28th, 2014 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Come join us at Shiloh's 11am Sunday service as we pray for our elected officals. There will be a "Meet and Greet" after Sunday's service where you can briefly meet the attending candidates.

The actual forum will begin at 2pm and will be moderated by Ms. Rhonda McBride from KTVA channel 11. Please come out to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (855 E. 20th Ave.) and participate and meet the candidates for the upcoming elections.

SCDI Community Conference

On March 28, 2014, SCDI will kick-off the conference with a youth mentorship day program utilizing local and national speakers addressing concerns such as suicide, violence, obesity, criminal justice, education, economics, and more. Community Conference Health Fair

There is also a health fair associated with this conference which is being coordinated by Alaska Health Fair, Inc. It will occur on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 8am - 12n at West High School (1700 Hillcrest Dr., Anchorage AK 99517). Brotherhood Inc. and Delta Rho Boule' Scholarship Golf Tourney

Brotherhood Inc. and Delta Rho Boule' Scholarship Golf Tourney Brotherhood Inc. and Delta Rho Boule' will be hosting a scholarship golf tournament at Wolf Run golf course on June 28th, 2013. The tournament will help raise money for scholarships that will be awareded to future high school graduates who excel in school.
